"I am always learning."
Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio
Why we love it
Caravaggio is considered the first great representative of the baroque school of painting, he was a revolutionary painter, a rebellious artist, with a wild and transgressive lifestyle for his time, a restless person, a genius misunderstood for being a great narrator of biblical themes that he reinterpreted with same realism with which he lived his dangerous life full of daily fights.
It is surprising how such an intense life make Los Musicos an allegory of music and love, where according to studies, the artist does not resist appearing playing the character who plays the cornetto.
He died alone, poor and weak, and 400 years later, he reached the top 10 of the greatest artists in history.
This is just our small contribution, your curiosity can do the rest.
