Frédéric Dumoulin. Hêmérê
January 22, 2026 – February 21, 2026
Frédéric Dumoulin is one of the key names in contemporary Belgian painting. His oil paintings captivate us with a detailed style, yet wrapped in an almost magical atmosphere. The artist starts from real photographs which he patiently transforms, layering and blurring shapes until creating something entirely new.
In his exhibition Hêmérê (Day), Dumoulin proposes a journey through the cycles of light and the way we perceive our surroundings. It is an invitation to look calmly to discover what remains after the first impact: the traces of the passage of time and those memories that play between what is present and what is already gone.
Born in Brussels in 1974, Dumoulin has developed a unique and honest style. Far from the noise and trends of contemporary art, his work prefers to speak to us in a whisper, focusing on the silent and authentic power of painting.
