The Transformation of Valencia. 1866-2026

Did you know that 160 years have passed since Valencia decided to tear down its walls to open up to the world? It was in 1865, almost at the same time that LAS PROVINCIAS was born, when the city began its great transformation towards modernity. From that historic moment until the opening of the Roig Arena in 2025, the oldest newspaper in our Community has been there to tell it all.

To celebrate this very special anniversary, we want to invite you on an emotional journey through the Valencia that saw us born and grow.
