Manuel Marín. Sculptures
November 26, 2025 – March 15, 2026
Presented by the Fundación Legado Humano, an exhibition dedicated entirely to the Murcian Manuel Marín is being shown for the first time in Spain. Although this artist from Cieza was one of the most fascinating creators of mobile sculptures of the 20th century, his work remained an undiscovered treasure in his own land.
The soul of this project was born from an unexpected surprise: the discovery of a forgotten sculpture in the storage rooms of the Museum of Fine Arts of Murcia. Javier Bernal, the museum director at the time, found the piece perfectly packed and, after contacting Mónika Rabassa, the sculptor's widow, began an exciting adventure to rescue from oblivion a legacy that had remained hidden for years.
Across three galleries, we invite you to enjoy 36 colorful iron sculptures. These pieces come directly from the studio that Manuel and Mónika shared for decades in Alhaurín de la Torre, where she still maintains his archive. It is a unique opportunity to connect with his art, as many of these works are being shown for the first time in the Region of Murcia. Don't miss this reunion with Marín's movement and magic!
