Matter Matters. Designing with the world
Matter Matters looks at design through the lens of materials — where they come from, how we use them, and why that matters more than ever today. Using pieces from the collection alongside contemporary works, the project reflects on big challenges like the shortage of raw materials and the push toward carbon neutrality by 2050.
The exhibition sits at a turning point in history, questioning our old extractive mindset and pointing instead toward more regenerative ways of thinking and making. It moves freely between design, ecology, and geopolitics, showing how deeply material choices shape the world.
At the same time, Matter Matters is both a snapshot of where we are now and a journey through the history of design — across disciplines — inviting visitors to rethink our relationship with materiality in a rapidly changing world.
