Roberto Huarcaya. Interstices. Photograms 2014-2025

Roberto Huarcaya (Lima, 1959) has built his artistic practice around large-scale photograms made without a camera. By placing natural elements directly onto photosensitive paper, he captures the spirit of different Peruvian landscapes and figures in a very direct, physical way.

This process has led to iconic series such as Amazogramas, Andegramas, and Océanos, shown at major institutions and international events like the Venice Biennale, Paris Photo, and Les Rencontres d’Arles. Using the photogram—a photographic technique that existed even before the camera—Huarcaya reclaims it to create striking, monumental works.
