Tabernas Desfase. Mark Shoter

“Tabernas Desfase” will present the full body of work that Mark Shorter has produced in Spain over the past three years. These works include Lost in Almería (2023), To Serenade a Mountain (2024), and Tierra Trumpetas (2025).

The project is inspired by the Tabernas Desert, a landscape that, through cinema, reinvented the “American West” in films such as Sergio Leone’s The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Shorter takes this cinematic history and its world-building as a starting point, creating collaborative sound sculptures that connect with these imagined landscapes of the past.
