Fundación Luis Seoane

Spain / A Coruña

The Luis Seoane Foundation first opened its doors in 1996, thanks to the A Coruña City Council and the vision of the artist’s widow, María Elvira Fernández López. María dreamed of creating a special place where her husband’s life and work could be both protected and shared with the public.

To bring this dream to life, she donated an incredible personal collection. It features more than two hundred oil paintings, every book Seoane ever published, and over a thousand drawings and sketches. Visitors can also explore personal letters and documents that offer a rare, intimate look at the man behind the art.

Together, these treasures tell the story of Seoane’s creative life, capturing his experiences while living in Buenos Aires and his meaningful journeys home to Galicia.
