Marcel Duchamp

Marcel Duchamp

April 13, 2026 – August 22, 2026

With around 300 artworks on display, this exhibition is the first major look at Marcel Duchamp’s life and work in the U.S. since 1973. While a lot has been written about his mysterious style over the last fifty years, this show helps clear up common myths and gives you a front-row seat to his entire career. From his early pieces in 1900 to his final works in 1968, you’ll get to explore the full range of his incredible imagination.

Duchamp famously changed the rules of what art could be, opening doors for artists that are still open today. Even though he didn't like to be labeled, he had a huge hand in shaping movements like Cubism, Surrealism, and Pop Art. He never wanted to stay in one place for too long, once explaining: “I have forced myself to contradict myself in order to avoid conforming to my own taste.”
