Tania Blanco. Gas, Oxide, Salt. 9th Museo Barjola Award

The installation builds on and expands the artist’s ongoing research into iron oxide and the connections between territory, industry, and material transformation. This time, Blanco turns her attention to the industrial outskirts of Gijón, an area where the steel industry has left a particularly strong physical and visual mark on the landscape.
